Stampede

A stampede broke out early Saturday morning outside the Ultra stadium in Pasig City where thousand had lined up to watch a popular game show, killing dozens of people and injuring several others.
About 30,000 people were lured to join the game show's anniversary celebration becuase of the big prizes, like cars and money at stake. Some had even lined up for two days to get tickets.
Senator Richard Gordon, chairman of the Philippine National Red Cross, who led the crowd control operation, blamed the poor organization of the event for the tragedy.
